Volunteer Requirements
We exist SOLELY with the participation of our parents and you are critical to the survival of our team. In order to run a successful meet - we need all hands on deck.
Volunteer Requirements
All swim team families will be required to work a total of 5 shifts over the course of the season (there are 2 options for shifts per meet, plus a few non-meet opportunities). This year, volunteer positions will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis - so register early to get the spot you want. At the end of the season, any family that has not met their volunteer obligation will be automatically charged $300.
If you find you are unable to attend the shift and job you signed up for, it is your responsibility to find a substitute (this can be a fellow neighbor that you swap shifts with, a parent willing to take an extra shift for the team, or a teenager willing to work for volunteer hours or some extra cash.) You must let the coordinators know who that replacement will be by 4:00 pm on the day of the meet.
Volunteer Descriptions
Timer: Using a stopwatch provided by the team, time 1 lane of our swimmers. Write down the time and give the time sheet to a runner.
Place Judge: Sits at the finishing end of the pool. Writes or calls out the order each swimmer places

Event Flipper: For home meets only, changes the event number on our event board to correspond with the current event.
